Duties of the C-CHANGE for Haiti Board of Directors |

The C-CHANGE BOARD of directors is comprised of a variety of people, from lawyers and physicians to engineers and professors, all of whom are committed to help rebuild Haiti. By having such a diverse range of professions on our board, we can ensure that we make the best possible decisions in regards to how money is spent and how supplies are distributed.
The board members will participate in guiding the organization to meet its goal and objectives which is to positively advance the lives of Haitians living in Haiti. Activities such as improving health, education, and rebuilding infrastructure will be the main focus of the organization. To that end, the board members will:
- Identify areas in Haiti in need of our support.
- Promote the activities and initiatives of the organization by disseminating and sharing information about it.
- Aggressively seek funding in order to support the organization and its stated goals.
- Maintain open lines of communication among all board members.
- Maintain transparency in all activities and communication with board members, donors, volunteers, and/or those receiving assistance from this organization.
- Remain informed and knowledgeable regarding happenings in Haiti and share that information with all members.
- Enhance the organization’s national and international standing.
- Maintain the legal and ethical integrity of the organization.
- Promote a positive perception of Haiti, its people, and the C-CHANGE for Haiti organization.
- Attend all board meetings either in person or through electronic means.

ROLAND CREVECOEUR
Honorary President
Roland Crevecoeur was born in Leogane, Haiti, and attended elementary school in his hometown. He continued to study at St. Louis de Gonzague in Port-au-Prince. He received his bachelor’s degrees in both law and in education. While he was teaching math and physics in high school and parochial school, he made time to help his father, also a lawyer, in their law office. He was offered a two-year contract by the United Nations to work in Africa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, first in Kinshasa, then in Leopoldville. There, he continued teaching upper-level mathematics and sometimes consulted on legal matters. After working there, he immigrated to the United State, where he received his master’s degree in economics, and worked for Merril Lynch until his retirement in 1992. |

MERCIA CREVECOEUR
Honorary Vice President
Mercia was born in Port-au-Prince and attended the Parochial School of St. Rose de Lima at Port-au-Prince. She then attended a vocational school before immigrating to the United States. There, she worked for National Bank and for Haitian Apostolic Sacred Heart until her retirement in 1994. |

EVANS CREVECOEUR, M.D., MBA
Chair
Evans Crevecoeur obtained his medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in 1987, and then went on to specialize in anesthesia. He later received his MBA from Regis University. Dr. Crevecoeur presently lives in New York with his wife and three sons. He is the president and CEO of Omnicare Anesthesia, a flourishing private anesthesia practice.
Dr. Crevecoeur recently traveled to Haiti to provide much-needed medical care to the earthquake victims. He personally witnessed the suffering of his fellow Haitians, most notably in his hometown of Leogane. He quickly realized the necessity to create a strong foundation with a vision such as C-CHANGE. |

RONY CREVECOEUR, P.E.
Vice Chair
Rony Crevecoeur was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His family immigrated to the United States in 1968. Rony received his bachelor's degree in engineering in 1984, and his engineering license a few years later. Since completing his studies, Rony has worked as a project and consulting Engineer in Port-au-Prince and New York. He currently resides on Long Island with his wife and two sons, Jean Marie and Vladimir. |

EDWIDGE CREVECOEUR-BRYANT, Ed.D
Secretary
Edwidge Crevecoeur-Bryant was born in Haiti and immigrated to New York with her family in 1968. She attended City College of New York where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bilingual Education in Haitian Kreyòl and English. She was the first student in the United States to have obtained such a degree. In 1999, she earned a Doctorate in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. Dr. Crevecoeur-Bryant is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Her research focus has been in the areas of Adult ESOL Literacy, the Haitian Creole Language and ESOL Tutoring Programs. In addition to her research, she has conducted numerous trainings nationwide on multiculturalism, Haitian education and second language acquisition. She is an outstanding grant writer, and has secured substantial funding for her research and program development. She has co-authored five bilingual English-Haitian Creole dictionaries including the latest Word by Word published by Prentice Hall. For all of her work and dedication to the field of education and literacy, in 2009, she was inducted into the Adult and Community Educators Hall of Fame. |

CARLINE CREVECOEUR FEFFER, M.D.
Treasurer
Carline Crevecoeur Feffer was born in Haiti and immigrated to the United States when she was 5. After receiving her medical degree from Downstate Medical School, she worked as an OB/GYN in New York and then in Pennsylvania. As a resident, she worked in Nicaragua and Haiti. Currently, she is a volunteer doctor, a real estate investor, and a tax planner. She resides in State College, PA, with her husband and five kids. |
